Complete closure of Treidelweg due to renewal of the Heegermühler lock
Construction work on the Heegermühler lock will begin on Monday, 25 March 2024. Construction is expected to end on Tuesday, 31 March 2026.
In the period from 25 March 2024 to Thursday, 4 April 2024, the Treidelweg will be completely closed from Brückenstraße. A diversion will be signposted accordingly.
During this time, the towpath will be adapted for the construction work. Therefore, no traffic is possible there during this time.
From Friday, 5 April 2024, the entire towpath will be closed in this section from Monday to Friday from 7 am to 7 pm. The towpath can be used outside of these times.
The full closure is necessary as a high volume of construction vehicles is expected for the renovation of the lock. During this time, the safety of traffic for cyclists and pedestrians on the towpath cannot be guaranteed.
All road users are requested to observe the traffic restrictions and the corresponding signage for the diversion.
